Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player secured his maiden trophy for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult season, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the American major.
His varied form on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and eventually parting ways with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Now working with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the past month - peaking in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's first championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard court from that period of the previous year.
Success also means he has won 21 victories at 21 various events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my two daughters at once, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my child her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, comprising in that event earlier this year.
The player's defensive approach and frequent reactions on court had prompted some to wonder if his skill to play at the top level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete assertively, backed up by an improved serve.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, taking four of the last five games to go ahead.
Both players swapped service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his initial ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to force a third set.
Moutet saved four initial opportunities in a close third set before Medvedev broke to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, he secured the win with a point at the net, with the Frenchman unable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
