I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
